The Snowflake

The Snowflake

The little snowflake felt unique

In every, single way

And did not really want to drop

Into the light filled day.

She hovered, waiting in the clouds,

For just that perfect time,

When everything combined to make

Her destiny sublime;

Then in a flurry of her friends,

She drifted down to Earth.

And turned to slush beneath our feet;

An inauspicious birth

Penny.

  1. Your poems are simply fantastic. I will be back to read them and post my comments individually. Keep writing, and if you dont mind “pen” sounds better than “penny”.
    thanks for liking the poem i posted, it was not spontaneous, a friend of mine asked me to write something on this ever increasing violence, he asked for one poem, but somehow i could not capture it in one poem, the interconnected series came.
    With the very best wishes,
